Great story I could not put in down. Liam was so complex yet Jay was his savior over and over. Next book of this series is about Michael can not wait to read it.
This is the best book that I have read in 2013.I was hooked since page one.I most definitely look forward to part 2.and look forward to every book that comes next from ms.kirby Elaine.I am amazed at her skill.and the sex scenes were perfect.couldn't have been any better or hotter.
The story started out with great promise but it soon revealed flaws. Character development was seriously lacking. The only things I truly knew about the characters were that they loved each other and had poor communication skills. The title healing wounds is kind of a misnomer. The wounds were obvious but not how they were healed. Also the grammar really needs work I had to go back to reread passages. The writing was choppy and the flow was broken. I believe if the book was edited by an editor it could have made the story flow better.
I've got to say that book all though time warped, it had a pave that seemed natural. It was everything I hoped a romantic tale would encompass. There isn't much I can say I didn't like about this book. The characters all had and the growth which is displayed in a timely manner. The love story proved all aspects of real relationship. Not holy with husband but with her family.
The Scott/Price family story was a beautiful family romance. I adored Liam and Jayda lets not forget Michael that guy is totally hot and love their families even after what they went through they still come together as one. I felt bad for they lost, but everything work out in the end but Alex really need to come clean with Michael whatever it is I'm sure they could work it out...they book was a good read and I want to read the next one.
I found the beginning to be rather boring--she counted on a boyfriend to pay her way while going to school; of course he did her wrong, but she put herself in that situation. Even her friend's boyfriend didn't want her on their futon, but her character was very likable.
Glad to see her luck change, but then her and Liam get placed into the friend zone for several years--I almost gave up. I was glad I hung in there bc their love pulled them together and allowed them to be there for one another during their loss.
I absolutely loved this book. The story was very sweet yet heartbreaking at times. It kept my attention so much so that I didn't want it to end. I can't wait to read the next one in the series. My only issue is that there are some serious editing issues that I hope are addressed soon as it will only make the book better. I am considering purchasing the next book but I don't want to do so if the editing is as bad as it is in this one. I would recommend this book but would forewarned that editing is a problem and could become a distraction. This author definitely has promise.
Jayda has just found out from her boyfriend Anthony, who she lives with and who has been taking care of her financially so she could finish school, that he is having a child with another woman. Jayda finds herself with no job, no income and no place to live.
She realized that she cannot stay in her best friends spare room forever and that she must quickly find a job and a place to live.
Jayda finally scores an interview at Scott & Helm and is instantly attracted to the man conducting the interview Liam Scott.
Liam Scott is part owner of Scott & Helm an Event Coordinating Company and today he finds himself conducting a interview to a very attractive Jayda Price. Liam is looking for a Personal Assistant and no matter who else him or his partner interviews, he has his sights set on Jayda as his assistant and possibly more.
Both Jayda and Liam are troubled by the death of one of their parents and while Jayda's wounds are healing, Liam seems to be allowing his past to control a major part of his life. Soon the two become best friends and are inseparable but, Liam wants to become more but is afraid that the secrets that he is keeping from Jayda, may ruin any chance that he has with her along with their friendship.
Michael Cruz has become a client at the company that Liam part owns and is also interested in a relationship with Jayda. Liam and Michael have a past that Liam would rather forget and he feels that Michael is using Jayda to get to him. Jayda doesn't see Michael as a threat because he is a really nice guy and she doesn't understand Liam's warnings, especially since he wont explain his reasons for not trusting Micheal!
Liam, Jayda and Michael are caught up in a triangle but not the kind that you would think, this one is filled with Love, Friendships and Secrets.
This is a really, really good book. I didn't want it to end and fortunately for me it continues in Secrets Kept (Michael's Story).
THIS BOOK IS A STAND ALONE!!!
I would recommend this book to anyone interested in a Healing Love Story or to anyone interested in reading a really good book!!
